In this episode, you will meet 8-year law enforcement veteran, Sgt. Zachary Saenz. We discuss his unplanned journey into law enforcement, favorite foods, country music, time with family, and his mission to de-stigmatize mental health in law enforcement.
He takes us through the situations and challenges he encountered, that led him down a very dark path, where he needed to ask for help, before it was too late. He also shares an unbelievable story of how he was able to use lessons learned from therapy to keep him from the worst.
He is a now a Peer Support leader in his department and agent of change when it comes to mental health, utilizing his own personal stories to help build bridges in the community he serves.
